It is, that is Christmas is as much a Pagan tradition, as it is Christian. Those, with all due respect, like Nietzsche, who do not see the practicality of such a device? We are bad robots, self bent on self destruction, self impoverishment...so that we can feel, so that we who are near to 100% nothing, other than the energy each atoms nucleus comprise, are seeking self validation?
Tell me; how can something die, which never truly was/is?
We, a product first of chemistry. Then, as the organicness grew, like yeast, a mass, those organs, each also seeking validation, yet needing the competing notion, to know a place, rely then heavily on nutrients, then onto macro nutrients, but the food was and is a held assertion, an alchemical process, an exchange.
Condition allows one, to assume oneself a self.

To state this is to say that your very craft, to serve this transient machine EI you are a scientist, so you see that "G" as Generation, or you are a Master Mason like Hirum Abiff, so you see the G as geometry, thus, and so, our highest expressive valu(e).

Quite so, you were meant to only look outward, never to realize a self in the first. This notion of false ego, ushered forth, false math.
I posted a very highly read blog post on "Condition". I find this interesting now, as I have seen, unto what full effect this sentiment trickles forth...towards. Our conditioning can not take place without reason, but it can be done to us, as in the state of the slave morality. But slaves do not chose status, they are rather usurped prior to their understanding of will.
Condition the masses, with such techniques of which I've writ, extensively, obsessively in fact, in the order of:
-Corral
-Posture
-Control
and finally
-ACQUISITION
